Pictures...

The fashion industry is not just making stuff, that would just be the first part of a very big cycle. Before something gets to the stores, we also have the editorials in fashion magazines, where clothes are showcased according to a concept that it's no longer vision of the designer.

In any given editorial we have a creative director or stylist, and a photographer. Both have to make a visual idea become reality on print for a magazine. Last month's W magazine had this awesome editorial photographed by Mario Sorrenti ad styled by Camilla Nickerson, with Guinevere Van Seenus one of the greatest models ever. The mood and specially the two photos I picked reminded me to Hayao Miyazaki's "Howl's Moving Castle". I also put in there the best shoe for the season, which is the one used for this editorial (not in boots, the open one) because I don't think u can notice it in the photo, Nina Ricci by the way.
